The four main sections of this website are:
- KM Basics - a useful starting point if you are new to knowledge management, it covers some essential background, the business rationale for KM and core concepts. There is also a glossary.
- KM Roadmap - the core of the roadmap are the sequence of steps neeeded to desing and implement an organizational KM programme including the strategic priorities / drivers, assessment of the current situation, design and development, deployment and evaluation. In addition ten topical themes are addressed, and there are toolkits for enhancing the knowledge capabilities of individuals, teams and policy-makers.
- Best Practices **Not yet available** - this section will contain an overview of the many tools and techniques used by knowledge management practitioners.
- KM Resources - this section includes various articles and presentations developed by the author (some previously unpublished on the web) as well as references and links to useful external resources.
Click on the top menus to go to these sections. Side menus take you to specific sub-sections. The website is being developed in stages and draw on recent material, as well as a rolling programme of updating relevant KM material from our archive website. The archive website - Knowledge Connections - will remain with material from the early days of KM (much of it written between 1996 and 2003) and related subjects (virtual working, learning organization and the internet).
It also has a K-Map highlighting different material for the various stages of your KM journey - Reconnaissance (thinking), Route (planning), Travel (doing), Reflect (reviewing). Please note that not all paid-for services shown on this K-Map are currently being offered.
